Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station

A visit to the region would not be complete without a trip to the world’s first industrial city, where visitors can enjoy shopping, and nightlife, museums, galleries and concert venues, all within easy access of the centre of the city.

The Metrolink provides an easy connection to Old Trafford, and you can quickly get to the Etihad Campus by Metrolink or rail. A well-lit walking route is also available to the Manchester City stadiums.

Free walking tours are available at 11am daily from the Alan Turing Memorial in Sackville Gardens, and you can also find lots of self-guided walking routes online to make sure you don’t miss the sites.

For further inspiration and local maps, the Manchester Visitor Information Centre can be found inside the iconic Central Library in St Peter’s Square, which is a well worth a visit for its architecture, as well as its regular events and exhibitions.
