Lesley Burgoyne's absolute passion in life is being creative with food and so, three years ago she started a small on farm bakery - " Handmade By Lesley Burgoyne at The Chocolate Geranium Craft Bakery" handcrafting Fine Savoury Tarts and Fine All Butter Almond Slices. She currently sells these at Nantwich and Rode Hall Farmers Markets, and will soon be a regular at our Chester market too. Lesley also bakes to order for parties and functions.
Lesley creates all of her own recipes and uses local Cheshire Cheeses and Charcuterie products. Seasonal specialities include 'Cheshire Wood Pigeon, Local Roasted Beetroot and Bitter Chocolate Tart', 'Roasted Vegetable Tart', 'Tarporley Golden Brie, Ham Hock and Beetroot Tart', plus her popular Traditional Almond Slices.
Lesley developed an interest in cooking when she was a child and has subsequently spent time working for Raymond Blanc and then as Catering Development Manager for 350 Greene King Pubs which gave an opportunity of meeting Egon Ronay and taking part in a BBC Food Programme on TV discussing Old Fashioned Puddings and Spotted Dick
Food can be baked to order and collected fresh from the oven at The Chocolate Geranium Craft Bakery, Outside Farm, Chester Lane, Winsford, Cheshire. Cw7 2QW - Their farm shop is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm.
