Cheshire Summer Foraging Course

Marbury Park, Cumberback, Northwich, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6AT
Product Image
We're excited to be running our first courses at Marbury Country Park on the edge of Budworth Mere. The mixture of open grassland and woodland makes this park perfect for foraging.
We'll be meeting at the picnic benches at 12pm for a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes, where they relate to foragers.
After the talk we'll set off for a 2-3 hour walk around the park identifying the different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms that we find. There will be breaks along the way for some homemade refreshments such as our lovely wild food soup.
We will finish the day off with a tasty wild food lunch based on what we have found. This will include some treats made from our recent finds, a wild salad that we will pick on the day and possibly even some wild garlic pesto or creamy wild mushrooms.
After the walk we will email you details of all the plants and mushrooms we find to help you to remember what you have learnt.
