Poynton Arts Festival celebrates all the creative arts: theatre, music, comedy, singing, poetry, painting and more besides. Last year’s festival brought together a huge array of talent with over forty events taking place at twenty-two venues.

“It was a great evening with over 70 people attending and we raised £375 for the Stand By Me charity” – Paul of Gracenotes

“It was really well attended and the final performance sounded fantastic!” – Mikado Come-and-Sing Afternoon

“Hope Green hosted a full day of events”  – Ruth at Hope Green Care Home

“Our poetry event at The Snap Tin went really well. We will definitely be back next year” – John F Keane, Stockport Write Out Loud

“I attended five different music gigs and enjoyed them all”  – Terry Robson of MAPS Choir

“It was very popular with a diverse range of people taking part” – Inktails Mouse Trail

Poynton is a lively community located in North Cheshire, just 20 minutes by train from the centre of Manchester.

Spread across eight days, Poynton Festival is a showcase for art and performance from all over Poynton and beyond. Whether you’re into classical music, folk or rock, we’ve got it. Venues include pubs, schools, churches, cafes, social clubs and restaurants. Theatre buffs will find both comedy and drama. There are choral events, a number of art exhibitions, and open mic nights.
