The ‘Cookhouse at Warrington Market’ features 12 traders serving hot and cold cuisines from around the world. The market is home to a variety of traders offering a wide range of goods and services, including fresh produce, baked goods, sweets, jewellery, fabrics, comics, clothes and musical instruments, and services such as hairdressers, beauty, tattoos, key cutting, shoe repairs, and clothing alterations.
The Cookhouse has culinary treats on offer – from Eastern delights such as Thai and Chinese, to the freshest Italian pizza, Indian street food and Mexican favourites – there is something for everyone to enjoy! There are also two fully stocked bars, serving a range of cask ales, local brews, wines, spirits and cocktails.

In 2019, it scooped the coveted ‘Best Small Indoor Market’ award, cementing itself as one of the country’s best markets. And, with the new Warrington Market now open as part of the town’s £140m Time Square scheme, it will find a contemporary new home for over 55 traders and 25,000 annual visitors in the new beating heart of Warrington town centre. The new market will begin primarily with food and produce traders, before later expanding to close contact services such as hairdressers, subject to Government guidance.
Council Leader, Cllr Russ Bowden, said: “The new Warrington Market has got off to a really successful start. It’s been fantastic to see so many people visiting the venue and having a great experience. If you haven’t had chance to come along and see it for yourself yet, this bank holiday weekend is the perfect opportunity.
“Our traders have told us they’ve been delighted to welcome many new customers and young people, alongside longstanding customers. From people visiting our fantastic range of stalls, to families enjoying the tastes of the Cookhouse, the market has been a bustling hive of activity, which is great news for our town centre.”
