A feast of Morris & sword dancing comes to Chester! Thirteen traditional dance sides from around the region have accepted the invitation to perform. That's about 120 dancers and musicians.

Raising funds for the Lord Mayor's Charities. 

09.30 Visiting morris dancers and musicians assemble in Town Hall Square.

09.40 Arrival of the Lord Mayor, to be greeted by Dave Loughlin JP (North West Area Representative of the Morris Ring, and Director/Co-ordinator of the event). Dave Loughlin introduces Eddie Worrall (Past Squire of the Morris Ring), Peter Jones (Squire of Chester City Morris Men) and other officials to Cllr Little.

09.45 Eddie Worrall introduces the Lord Mayor of Chester to the visiting performers. This will take place from the top of the short flight of steps up to the Visitor Information Centre.

09.50 The Lord Mayor gives brief address to welcome the performers and say a few words about her chosen charities.

09.55 Saddleworth Morris Men will perform the first dance of the day.

Then performances at 10:20am, 11am, 11:40am, 1:30pm, 2:10pm, 2:50pm. Concluding at 4pm.
