A display in the Chapel about the work of 12 Unitarian Inventors. The earliest was born in 1730 and there are two who are still alive today.

The displays of Unitarian Inventors will include: - Josiah Wedgwood – a pioneer of modern marketing. Erasmus Darwin – the forefather of evolutionary theory. Joseph Priestley – discovered oxygen. Sir Francis Ronalds – electric telegraph. Elizabeth Gaskell – author highlighting social issues of the day. Florence Nightingale – founder of modern nursing. Lewis Latimer – electric lighting and air conditioners. Oliver Heaviside – telecommunications, mathematics and science. Linus Pauling – quantum theory and important discoveries in genetic diseases. David Atherton – Canadian Maglev and work with magnets. Raymond Kurzweil – robotics and nanotechnology. Tim Berners-Lee – founder of world-wide-web.
