We are unwrapping Quarry Bank's creativity in a pop-up display, inviting you to look beyond our industrial façade. Whilst keen business runners, the Greg family were also keen artists and recorded their adventures both at home and abroad in watercolours, pencil drawings and even photographs. Step back into their world to see what creativity meant to them and get a glimpse behind Quarry Bank's industrial founders.
Whilst it has been many years since the Greg family were taking pictures of their dogs (not much has changed!), we have many talented and creative people working on this site again today. Showcasing their creative works in the same display, we will be putting a spotlight on the talent and products made by our staff and volunteers.
Weavers throughout history have got creative with patterns in their fabric, an art we still use today. Contribute to our next weaving pattern by voting for colours and designs. We will then weave the voted for pattern into our fabric over the coming weeks and look out on social media for when it is ready to purchase from the shop!
Step outside the Mill into our gardens to discover the Greg family's favourite beauty spots, now brilliant photo opportunities, and discover how these spaces inspired them through the generations. Explore the beauty and creativity of the gardens, from patterned planting to vegetable patches.
National Trust admission charges do not apply.
