More than 500 years in the making, Chester’s Midsummer Watch is the oldest and most colourful parade in the UK. Since its first outing in 1498, the Watch has become a major part of Chester’s cultural heritage.
Over 400 local people are involved in this moving portrait of historical events, local legends, biblical and other mythical characters. Musicians, giants, dragons and pirates deliver colour, spectacle and excitement.
The parade begins in Town Hall Square at 14:00. For further information visit www.midsummerwatch.co.uk
