Join Sow the City for their one day Social and Therapeutic Horticulture course to learn how to be a Social and Therapeutic Horticulture practitioner.
Are you passionate about using gardening to improve peoples' health and emotional well-being? Do you want to learn how to facilitate transformative social and therapeutic sessions that make a real difference in people's lives? Sow the City's course will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and tools you need to become a therapeutic facilitator. You'll learn how to create a safe and supportive environment, lead engaging and effective group discussions, and how to help participants develop valuable coping skills and insights.
Sow the City has been delivering horticultural therapy for Public Health and the NHS for almost 15 years. They are currently the lead for the NHS England Green Social Prescribing programme in Manchester and work on various other NHS and Population Health funded green wellbeing programmes across Greater Manchester.
The course will be delivered by Ciarán McLoughlin, an experienced trainer who will guide you through a variety of hands-on exercises and interactive activities, teaching you the latest techniques and best practices for facilitating meaningful and impactful group experiences. Whether you're a seasoned therapist looking to expand your skillset or a newcomer to the field of horticultural therapy, this course is perfect for anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of others.
