About Us

Tucked in a peaceful corner of rural Cheshire, yet sitting high atop the Peckforton Hills, The Pheasant enjoys some of the most magnificent panoramic views in the area stretching across the Cheshire plain to the Welsh hills.

Housed in delightful old Cheshire sandstone buildings, twelve en-suite bedrooms combine both style and comfort and feature modern facilities such as complimentary Wi-Fi access and HD televisions. Whether in the main building or the ivy-clad stable wing, you’ll find an attention to detail that anticipates your every need.

Here you can get far away from it all, but remain astonishingly close to the city. Located only 15 minutes from the historic city of Chester and 30 minutes from North Wales, this is the ideal base for exploring the many exciting attractions and great days out that Chester, Cheshire and North Wales have to offer.

Dine amongst wooden beams and beautiful décor in their AA Rosette awarded restaurant, serving good, honest wholesome food using fresh, local produce. During the winter months you can enjoy cosy meals around open fires, whilst in the summer you can dine 'al fresco' and admire the panoramic views of the Cheshire plains. The bar features four real ales and a fantastic selection of renowned wines from around the world.

The 5 star Pheasant Inn is without doubt one of the most picturesque inns in Cheshire. 300 year old Cheshire sandstone buildings, open fires, breathtaking panoramic views, a flower filled courtyard for a drink as the sun goes down... they all add up to magic. Whether you come to drink, dine or unwind for a few days, this atmospheric location will quickly have you under its spell!

OK food from a limited menu and staff very considerate. However, allowing dogs in all rooms of any restaurant is an absolute ‘no no’ - the smell is appalling and not too keen on dogs hairs... Read full review
