Children’s Quad Bike & Archery Experience
Our Children’s quad biking and archery sessions are available for £50 per person and lasts for one hour and 30 fun-filled minutes.
Unleash some healthy competition as you take on the off road challenge on the children’s quad biking trail. Climb onboard the exhilarating 50cc mini quad vehicles, perfect for zooming around having some muddy good fun! This is suitable for both speed demons and the more cautious passengers – the pace is set by you. Our friendly instructions are on hand to guide you through the awesome rip-roaring adventure.
You will then receive one-to-one tuition to channel your inner Katniss Everdeen as you try your hand at junior archery. We will equip you with traditional long bows to take aim and hit the targets. Do you accept the challenge of hitting a bullseye?
We think this is the perfect opportunity for some memorable school holiday fun!
Carden Park has a purpose built multi-activity centre and quad track based in the beautiful Cheshire countryside; located just 20 minutes from both Wrexham and Chester. This activity package is available for both day visitors and residential guests. The combo activity experience is suitable for children aged 7 year to 12 years with a maximum height of 1.4 meters.
We recommend comfy clothes and trainers / waterproof footwear to be worn for both junior quad biking and archery activities.

Kids Go Free
We all need to do our bit to help the visitor economy recover, so we have decided for the first time in our 40+ history to have a “kids go free” policy on all our public walking tours. We’re hoping this will help cash-strapped families to be able to participate in more things, without having to pay a premium for, or choose between, activities during their visit. Tickets for all our public walking tours will now be priced at £10 per person with up to two under 16s going free per accompanying adult.
Enjoy more family time, less driving time.
Children under 16 travel for FREE on our trains, when accompanied by a fare paying adult. Under 11’s can travel for free any time, under 16’s are only able to travel for free off-peak.

Chester Cathedral Tour with lunch at The Forge Restaurant
The Forge is working with Chester Cathedral and will be hosting weekly Chester cathedral tours with Lunch at The Forge.
Our tours run several times a month, with the option of the standard Cathedral Discovery Tour or the upgraded tour to include the Cathedral Tower Tour Experience.
On each tour, you will be guided round the stunning Chester Cathedral by an expert guide, learning about the history and fascinating facts of this historic landmark. After your Cathedral tour you will come to The Forge to enjoy a fantastic 3-course lunch.
Tours will start at 11am at the Cathedral which will last approximately an hour which gives you plenty of time to book your table from 1pm onwards at The Forge Restaurant.
Availability of each tour is as follows:

CHESTER ROMAN TOURS WITH LUNCH AT THE FORGE RESTAURANT
AVAILABLE EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 12PM
The Forge is working with Chester Roman Tours and will be hosting weekly Roman Tours of Chester and Lunch at the Forge.
How would you like to be transported back nearly 2000 years, to visit the city of Chester when it was the largest Roman fortress in Britain; so large and well-appointed to have the unique feature of Britain’s biggest amphitheatre too?
For people who like something fresh, interesting, factual and fun – a perspective on history that perhaps you haven’t considered before, touring Chester with an authentic Roman Soldier guiding you on a light-hearted journey through Chester’s Roman Heritage.
The Roman Tour will begin at 12:00 from the Town Hall in Chester every Wednesday. Tours will last approximately 90 minutes.
After the tour its back to The Forge Restaurant where you will be able to book a table from 1:30pm and enjoy a fabulous three course lunch.
