For adult groups of 10 or more, there are a range of options available for groups for an enjoyable day out at the National Waterways Museum Ellesmere Port.
The most popular offer is the Silver Package (£12.50 per person) which provides for the following:
- Admission to the museum and exhibitions all day with free admission for the coach driver and group organiser
- Free visitor map
- A welcome hot drink with biscuits on arrival
- A thirty minute boat trip with live commentary
- A guided tour which takes between 45 minutes and an hour
- A nominated member of our museum team will be allocated for you to assist in your visit
- Hospitality voucher for the coach driver to spend in the Waterside Cafe
Please allow at least two hours for the above plus additional time to look round the museum and the shop at leisure and have a bite to eat in our Waterside Cafe.
The Gold Package (£17.50 per person) includes a soup and sandwich for lunch or a mid-afternoon break of afternoon tea as well as everything included in the Silver Package. Please allow at least three hours for this plus additional time to look round the Museum independently and visit our gift shop.
The Platinum Package (£20 per person) provides A Behind the Scenes Tour on top of the Gold Package. You can visit either the Archives or view hidden away items in the Small Objects Collection or the larger objects in the Lime Shed. Please allow an extra hour for the Behind the Scenes tour in one of these areas.
If you prefer to be more independent, then the Bronze Package (£8.50 per person) may be your preferred choice. Your group will have all-day admission to the museum and exhibitions. On arrival they will be able to borrow a free audio guide and be given a free visitor map. You need to allow at least 2 to 3 hours to look round the museum and don’t forget to allow time to have a hot or cold drink and a bite to eat in our Waterside Cafe and for some retail therapy in the gift shop. You may also join one of the scheduled public boat trips on Centaur for an additional £3.
For all visitors, please remember before leaving home, to download the Window on the World app onto your phone or table to help make the site come alive.
All group bookings should be made in advance and can be tailored to suit your individual requirements – please speak to our museum team to discuss.
