Tatton Park - The Farm
TripAdvisor Traveller Rating
2946 reviewsTatton Park's Farm is an authentic, 40's working farm where you can meet rare breed animals and new arrivals throughout the year. In it's hayday the Farm helped feed the whole of the Tatton Estate and we've brought this to life through the 'Field to Fork' story.
There is so much for families and grown-ups to do including exploring our recently renovated 18th Century Mill, meeting farm workers from past and present, visiting Aunt Mary in the original Caretaker's Cottage, watching our seasonal demonstrations of traditional farming skills such as milking and hedge-laying, and discovering the original Slaughterhouse to learn about how slaughter was carried out in the past and good animal husbandry today.
Have fun in our woodland play trail and let imaginations run wild in the den building zone. Try not to get lost in our seasonal Maize Maze and if you need a rest you can listen to some animal tales with our resident storyteller on weekends in August.
Plus we have daily talks and regular events throughout the year.
Don't forget to download our Field to Fork app from the appstore to help guide you around the Farm, as well as enhance your visit with fun extras like farm trails and twirl points.
