Photographing Chester with Simon Buckley

Join photographer Simon Buckley for this FREE practical day of photography and advice, helping you to take the best pictures you can.

The morning session (11am-noon) begins with Simon showing examples of his work, discussing ways of seeing, and exploring the basic techniques needed to achieve the photographs you want to take.

You'll then venture out into Chester, and begin to put into practice what you’ve learned. Simon will be on hand all day to answer questions or give advice. Then at the afternoon session (3-4.30pm) you’ll head back to the venue on Bridge Street, where you'll look through your pictures and discuss with Simon what you’ve tried to do and how you’ve achieved it.

Best known for the dawn and dusk photography of his Not Quite Light, as well as his now famous mobile phone shot of a Deansgate Rainstorm, Simon Buckley is one of the north’s most iconic photographers.
