Roma Film Screening & Romani Language Workshop

The Deathless Woman is a film about important events in Roma history, and why they are still relevant today. This summer it tours the UK, along with free Romani language workshops led by Juice Vamosi, and comes to Storyhouse, Chester on 25 June.

Come and hear the fascinating history of Romani, a language which many are surprised to find is closest to Punjabi or Rajasthani, and learn some words for yourself.

Then at the film screening let the Deathless Woman lead you through archives and landscapes as she tells of what she witnessed during WWII. Introduced by local Roma leaders with a chance to discuss the film with the film's director, Roz Mortimer, and people from the local community.
