Take His Legs was recorded as a one-off special following comedian Adam Hills on his journey to achieve his boyhood dream of playing competitive rugby league. The documentary charts the story of the birth of Physical Disability Rugby League (PDRL) in the UK, and the rise of the Warrington Wolves PDRL team, from open trial, to World Champions in just six months.
To celebrate Warrington’s hosting of the first ever PDRL World Cup as part of the Festival of World Cups and Rugby League World Cup 2021, we are hosting a one off showing of the Take His Legs documentary at Cineworld on 24 October 2022. The event will feature an introduction by Adam Hills in person plus the chance for a Q&A with players or coaches taking part in the PDRL world cup in Warrington between 23 and 30 October.
All profits from the event will go straight back into grassroots disability rugby league in the town!
