Christmas can be an expensive time of year, and as we feel the pinch, we want to be able to enjoy Christmas to the fullest and get the most value for our money. Luckily many Christmas events and activities don’t have to break the bank and across Cheshire there’s a host of affordable and completely free ways for you to enjoy the festive season. We’ve put together some suggestions for how to enjoy Christmas in Cheshire while saving, too:

Christmas in Warrington

Warrington Winter Wonderland brings a festival of Christmas fun over the weekend of 25th to 26th November 2023. What better way to start the festive season than with a whole weekend of Christmas activity and events taking place across Warrington Town Centre. Many of these activities are free including Christmas in the Park, where you will find Father Christmas and his grotto, street entertainers, craft stalls, choirs, a brass band and more to entertain families and visitors alike. There will also be treats from the Christmas eatery on site, from mulled wine, bbq and much more.

The Return of ‘At No.25 Christmas Installation’ at Queens Gardens is also free 11am - 8pm. Back by popular demand, we see the return of Culture Warrington’s at No.25 Christmas Installation from last year but with a slightly different twist for 2023. Created by local artists Erica Wilkinson and Lauren Muir with support from Warrington and Vale Royal College students, Queens Gardens comes alive with a Narnia themed winter wonderland installation with live performance.
