Hooton is a village near the town of Ellesmere Port on the Wirral Penninsula and is surrounded by stunning unspoilt countryside and lush green landscapes.

Hooton Station is located on the Wirral Way, a converted railway that follows the track bed of the former Birkenhead Railway route from Hooton to West Kirkby making it ideal for walkers and hikers. The route takes you through woodland and wildflowers with stunning views of the Dee Estuary and offers fantastic scenery for great days out. Find some of our favourite walks to make the most of the stunning countryside here

Hadlow Road railway station – a Grade II listed heritage railway station museum, lovingly restored to its original 1950’s glory, the museum is located in Willaston on the Wirral Way footpath. It has an authentic ticket office and waiting room showcasing how the building would have functioned in its former days as a working railway station on the Hooton to West Kirkby branch of the Birkenhead Railway.
