Stanney Woods is an ancient woodland of oak and silver birch, with some hazel and holly. It is an excellent site for bird watching and exceptionally good for fungi in autumn.
There are various route options to choose from within the woodland, none have gradients greater than 1:10. The surface is firm and compact, but
due to the woodland nature of the site, may be softer in winter months.
Stanney Woods is located just off the A5117 near Ellesmere Port and has a small free car park with the following 9.00am-5.00pm. There are no toilets or refreshments on site, however Cheshire Oaks Shopping Outlet is nearby with a full range of facilities.
