Christmas events at the Anderton Boat Lift will be a little different this year but we still hope our activities will bring Christmas cheer and help you make family memories.
Designed with social distancing in mind we're opening our grounds and coffee shop during weekends in December from 10.00 - 15.00.
Create your own candle holder in one of our outdoor pods. Spaces are limited. Book your craft pack early to avoid disappointment and please remember to wrap up warm.
Dates: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 December
Times: 10:30, 11:30 13:00, 14:00
Price: £3.50 per craft pack
Pods are set up for 1 family/bubble, each pod has a maximum capacity of 6 people with 4 seats and space for a maximum of 4 craft packs per pod.
Please follow the link to book your pod.
*** Please select 1 pod, the number of people in your family group and then the number of craft packs you would like to buy ***
As Santa is unable to meet families on the boat this year, he has recorded an extra special message for us. Step inside the visitor centre to watch the Christmas message. Children can write their own letter to Santa and drop it off in the special postbox.
Explore the grounds with the Christmas bingo and see how many things you can spot. Can you get a line or even a full house? This is a free activity with no need to book and ideal for younger children.
Christmas Coffee Shop and Gift Shop
Enjoy festive hot drinks and food and in return, help us decorate our Christmas wish tree and write your Christmas wish on one of the tree decorations.
Searching for the perfect Christmas gift? Take a look around our gift shop for a selection of gift ideas for all the family including 25% off selected items.
Tickets are valid for the number of people stated on the given date and time. Please show ticket on arrival. Please meet at the outdoor craft area as close to the time of your booking as possible.
Each pod has a maximum capacity of 6 people with 4 seats and room for 2 standing. Please remain in your pod whilst completing the craft activity.
Craft activity suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Acting responsible, we are following Government Guidance and if the activity is affected by Covid restrictions or for any other reasons beyond our control we will contact you.
Similarly, if you experience Covid-19 systems, please stay at home and let us know so we can arrange a refund and reallocate the space.
Please follow the one-way system around the site and grounds and maintain social distancing throughout.
