Afternoon & Evening Concerts.Ceilidh, Sessions, Dance Displays. Real Ale Bar, Home Cooked Food
Welcome to our ‘new look’ February Folk Day. This year you will find us situated in All Saints Church, Hoole - just a short hop from Hoole Community Centre that did such a great job of hosting us for many years.
What’s new?
Our Folk Day café bar which will be open from 12 noon is a friendly space to catch up with friends, grab some lunch, maybe a beer, play some tunes and relax before the afternoon’s concert.
Clerical Error Border Morris team will be dancing for you at 1.30pm and lead us into the afternoon concert.
This year we have not one but two fabulous concerts for you to enjoy – both held in the stunning All Saints Church with its beautiful acoustics. One in the afternoon, at 2,30 pm, featuring The Love Music Trust Young Folk Ensemble, Kathryn Steele, The Time Bandits, Tom Ashworth, Damien Barber & Mike Wilson, and one in the evening, at 8 pm, featuring Ben Robertson, Damien Barber & Mike Wilson and Virginia Kettle’s Rolling Folk.
Our popular Chance to Meets and further sessions will be happening too, along with a teatime ceilidh at 6.30pm with the Time Bandits, and caller Baz Parkes. Again our friends Clerical Error will be starting off the evening’s fun for us.
