A lovely circular walk with a nice variety of scenery, first along the Trent & Mersey canal towing path, and then along a short section of the river Weaver Navigation and across Dutton Lock. Having crossed a few fields follow some very quiet country lanes and pass through Acton village before the final footpath back to the Acton Bridge where they serve excellent meals. Although this latter footpath is not well used it should be fairly easy to follow.
