This month sees the launch of a pioneering new initiative, 'RePresenting Women'.
With THREE exciting events & activities in one:
A COMMUNITY ART PROJECT
Feeling arty? Create your own piece of artwork that 're-presents' women in a unique and inspiring way.
The project kicks off with an exciting launch event – a FREE drop-in workshop at the Storyhouse on 12 January from 11-3pm. But entries are welcome up to 31 January, and you can register your interest at http://bit.ly/iwdart.
On 31 January, the top 4 entries as judged by a panel will each receive a £50 prize; and the top 12 will be featured in an exclusive citywide trail.
A CITYWIDE TREASURE TRAIL
This February Half Term (18 Feb), selected artwork will be showcased in a thrilling treasure trail across the streets of Chester. The event not only promises a family-friendly day of fun, but raises awareness of how we see women in our city, and our world.
Maps will be available at selected locations, and everyone is welcome!
THE IWD 2019 EVENT
The final piece of the puzzle will lead to Chester Women's Aid's annual International Women's Day event at Chester Town Hall and Storyhouse on 9 March. The event promises to be a great day out, and everyone that completes the trail stands the chance of winning exclusive Family Funday tickets for Chester Racecourse.
