In addition to the variety of vehicles on display from vintage to modern day on the Saturday and Sunday, SpareParts will be returning on the Sunday only for the TruckTown Arts Festival funded by Arts Council of England. Unfortunately, there will be no Arts Parade this year or Foden’s Band due to other engagements, however, there will be the Music Festival which offers a variety of local bands performing on the Commons on Saturday and the Cobbles on Sunday. Don’t forget, there will also be the exit parade at the end of each day starting at 4pm. On Sunday there will be a ride through of Harley Davidson’s followed by classic VW Beetles including a replica of the famous Herbie. After the ride through both the Harley Davidsons and the VW Beetles will be in town for the day and will lead the exit parade.
During the weekend, why not see the Spitfire on the Commons next to the Army Cadets to help celebrate 75 years of D-Day.
There will be plenty on offer for everybody – from the car enthusiastic Dads to the excited Children who want to play and the Mums who would like to sit down and listen to some music. The town will be buzzing with livelihood from the Fire Station Open Days, the TruckTown Festival on Sunday only, Train Rides, Remote Controlled Cars and the list goes on…there truly is enough to keep everyone entertained over the entire weekend.
