The majority of the paintings were done during Lockdown when I think I became rather "obsessed" with the memories of open spaces - the sea, the lakes, the hills that at that point were not accessible.
Gallery 3 Sense of Place by the Mersey 4

Hilary Dron, Suzanne Grace, Viv Netherwood and Sue Watson are a group of Merseyside artists who produce a diverse range of work using a variety of materials from oil and cold wax, to felting or acrylics. Their work is based on landscapes near and far, the natural world and the textures and patterns found in nature.

With the company of sweet natured animals as pets, making their portraits came naturally. The regularity of this drawing and painting changed as time allowed, and I now do commissions for pet portraits as a hobby.
